Derek Hough Gets Wet & Shows Off Insane Vocals In Passionate New Music Video

After losing his voice last year with risk of never being able to sing again, multi-talented artist Derek Hough debuts a passionate new music video proving he’s back and better than ever. Covering Breaking Benjamin’s “Ashes of Eden,” Hough shows off his insane vocal skills in the heartbreaking video inspired by his growing relationship with a higher power.

Over the years my relationship with a higher power became distant,” wrote Hough on Instagram. “But through several powerful experiences, it has become very clear to me that the energy and power of something greater within, guiding us all.”

The Dancing With the Stars veteran went on to describe the fear he had when he finally got his voice back, fearing that should he speak his vocal chords may permanently snap. However, when he heard the powerful Breaking Benjamin song, he felt motivated to work towards singing again.

Hough and sister Julianne Hough are set to kick off their third tour together, Move Beyond: Live Tour, April 18 in Akron, Ohio. The talented brother-sister duo have played a critical role in the planning of the complex tour, aiming to tell an inspirational tale about the importance to keep moving after life knocks you down.
