The Country Music Association threw their annual Christmas bash at the Grand Ole Opry, this with Reba McEntire stepping in for Jennifer Nettles as emcee for the festivities.
“Christmas is such a special time,” said McEntire according to Rolling Stone. “It reminds me of growing up in Oklahoma and singing carols with my family. I’m just tickled to join a group of some of my best country buddies onstage to celebrate the holiday season. This is where my love of music began.”
Some of the biggest names in Nashville came together for the festivities, including Kelsea Ballerini, Alan Jackson, Trisha Yearwood, Luke Bryan, and country heartthrob Dustin Lynch. Lynch took the stage of the Grand Ole Opry by storm with a flirty rendition of “Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town.”
The 32-year-old Tennessee-native took the world of country music by storm back in 2012 with the release of his self-titled debut album. The singer was met with meteoric success, his single “Cowboys and Angels” reaching No.2 on the country charts in addition to being certified Platinum.
