This year’s Super Bowl matchup was hosted on NBC, which just so happens to be the home channel to another major competition…The Voice. Since a new season of The Voice is coming up on February 26, the Super Bowl gave the show a prime opportunity to advertise.

Fans of the show got the chance to see its Super Bowl ad three days before the big game, as The Voice shared it on YouTube and social media. The country-themed commercial shows all four coaches in a dream-like country landscape, and Adam Levine even busts out a country twang!

As you would expect, the commercial was a big hit with all who saw it. It certainly got us hyped up to see the new season!

But we got even more excited when we heard Blake Shelton share some nitty-gritty details about the upcoming season during a quick interview at the Super Bowl. While he didn’t give too much away, all Voice fans will want to hear what he had to say.

Shelton spoke about the dynamic between the coaches this season, specifically mentioning new coach Kelly Clarkson. He gave a little insight into her coaching style, saying that she may be even more outlandish than Miley Cyrus has been in past seasons.

If you thought Miley Cyrus had stuff to say, wait until you see Kelly Clarkson,” Shelton said. “I mean we’re talking about motor mouth.”

In addition to talking about Clarkson, Shelton also shared how excited he is to have his friend Trace Adkins as his team advisor this season. Overall, Shelton said this season is one he’s thoroughly enjoying up to this point.

I think this is one of the best seasons we’ve started so far,” he said.
