Miley Cyrus Brought To Tears By 8-Year Old Fan

Todd Davidson

In early January, Miley Cyrus and her boyfriend, actor Liam Hemsworth, visited Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego where they met patients and their families. No one expected how the visit would affect Cyrus.

8-year old Julia Davidson, a patient battling neuroblastoma, surprised Cyrus with a performance of “Rainbow Connection,” Kermit the Frog’s hit from 1979’s “The Muppet Movie.” The performance was caught on video and shared to YouTube by Julia’s father.

In the video we see Cyrus standing near the foot of Julia’s bed while Hemsworth is crouched next to the bed. As Julia begins to sing, Miley starts to tear up. By the end of the song, the ‘Voice’ coach is wiping away tears….and so are we.

“You made me cry because it was so beautiful! Do you know how important it is to make people cry when you sing?” Cyrus told Julia.

“If I was in my ‘Voice’ chair right now, I would have turned around for you. For sure!”

According to a Go Fund Me page set up for the family, Julia was diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma at age 6. She was at the hospital for a once-a-month chemotherapy treatment when the stars stopped by.
