Miranda Lambert Performs Cover Of “Crazy” At 2016 Show

Throughout her career, Miranda Lambert has proven that she is capable of singing anything. From slow ballads like “Over You” and “The House That Built Me” to sassy songs such as “Little Red Wagon” and “Kerosene,” Lambert’s versatility is astounding.

Every now and then, Lambert also tries her hand at classic country tunes we’ve all come to know and love over the years. When she does this, she truly showcases her abilities as an artist by taking on that signature classic country sound.

During a performance in Glasgow, Scotland at the 2016 C2C: Country to Country festival, Lambert chose to sing one of the most beloved classics in country history, Patsy Cline‘s “Crazy.” Written by country superstar Willie Nelson, “Crazy” was one of Cline’s biggest and most memorable hits, and peaked at the second spot on the Billboard country chart.

For her performance, Lambert kept things simple, and was joined on stage by a single acoustic guitar player. The stripped-down instrumentals gave Lambert’s voice the opportunity to shine, and shine it did.

Every time Lambert hit and held out one of the long notes, the crowd couldn’t believe what they were hearing, and cheered for her in recognition of her talent. By the time Lambert finished her performance the crowd roared with cheers and applause, proving how much they enjoyed her version of the song.

“Crazy” is a definitely a hard song to cover, and we think Lambert does a great job! You can watch her performance below.
