Teenage Beauty Bares Soul With Breathtaking Take On ‘In Case You Didn’t Know’

In a sea of country songs about lifted trucks and whiskey-fueled nights, Brett Young‘s “In Case You Didn’t Know” shines above the rest. 

Born in Nashville and raised in a small Mississippi town, Brieanna James is country through and through. Taking her own unique take on Young’s tune, the beautiful teen switched the lyrics up to apply to her own personal life in a stunning intimate performance. 

18-year-old Brieanna is in hot pursuit of a career in country music, even working with hitmaker Kelsea Ballerini and songwriter Michael Krompass on a song of her own. The young singer has achieved much success at such a young age, Brieanna receiving an accumulated 1.5 million views on her YouTube account. 

“In Case You Didn’t Know” was co-written and recorded by Young for his self-titled debut album. After the song’s release it stayed at No.2 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs for a record-breaking 42 weeks, however, it was kept out of the top spot by Sam Hunt‘s history-making “Body Like a Back Road.”
