There’s no doubt about it – country legend Hank Williams‘ talent has been passed down through generations. His son, Hank Williams Jr., began his career covering his daddy’s songs, but eventually paved his own way to be considered a legend on his own right. Bocephus’ children have also gone on to become singers as well, most notably, his eldest son, who professionally goes by Hank III.
Not only did Hank III, follow in his family’s footsteps, he also bares a striking resemblance to his grandfather that will have you scratching your head. While he usually performs wearing a straw cowboy hat and leather or denim vest with his many tattoos showing, he covered up a bit during an appearance on the Marty Stuart Show several years ago.
Not only did he wear a nice suit for his performance, he wore his grandfather’s iconic suit. When you see this photo you will think it is Hank Williams reincarnated because of their strikingly similar looks.
Hank 3 performed a few of his granddaddy’s hits including “Howlin’ At The Moon” and “My Sweet Love Ain’t Around”. While introducing the latter, Hank III said, “Payin’ a little respects to ol’ Hiram Hank Williams today.”
