Brantley Gilbert Reveals Incredible Story Behind His Daughter’s Meeting With Ella Langley

Brantley Gilbert has nothing but praise and a newfound appreciation for fellow country star Ella Langley.
Ella’s rise to country music stardom has happened quickly, but the Alabama native spent years working toward her breakthrough.
Ella moved to Nashville in 2019 to pursue a career in country music after growing up performing and writing songs in Alabama. Her career began gaining momentum in 2021, when clips of her music began attracting attention on TikTok, helping introduce her songwriting and distinctive country sound to a wider audience.
In 2023, Ella reached another major milestone when she made her debut at the Grand Ole Opry. She also released her debut EP, Excuse the Mess, as she continued to grow.
Her biggest breakthrough came in 2024 with the release of “You Look Like You Love Me,” with Riley Green. Her debut album, hungover, was also released that year.
Ella’s most recent hit, “Choosin’ Texas” has helped catapult her career into a new chapter. The song reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in February 2026, while also topping Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay, and has continued its impressive run since.
Brantley Gilbert Shares His Experience Meeting Ella Langley
On Saturday (September 19), Brantley shared that he and his wife took their 7-year-old daughter, Bray, to see Ella perform for the first time. He said the experience was so moving, he decided to share the story with his followers.
“I go way back with her manager and a few people on her team who I now owe giant favors. I’d heard good things about Ella, and we’d briefly met at a Toby tribute, but I was there for Bray. I didn’t really know what to expect,” Brantley explains.
The country singer continued, saying that once Ella walked into the room, Bray was “speechless” for the first time in her life.
He continued, sharing that witnessing his own daughter become starstruck felt different from all the meet-and-greets he had witnessed over the years. Brantley praised Ella for taking the time to make his daughter feel comfortable and special, adding that she treated every child in the room with the same kindness.
Brantley was impressed by more than just Ella’s performance. He said the show was “lights out,” but it was the way Ella carried herself was what left the biggest impression.
Before leaving, he also had a chance to speak with her one-on-one. While conversations between artists can sometimes be brief and obligatory, Brantley shared that his interaction with Ella was anything but.
Instead, he said he met “an incredible young woman” who genuinely loves her fans, music and the people around her. Brantley also praised Ella for putting in the work to build her career and for recognizing those who helped her along the way.
“She’s paid old school dues, earned new school stripes, and gives credit where it’s due. She’s got a record-breaking song for a reason. This ain’t about “Choosin’ Texas.” It’s about choosing to work, pray, sing, and play a dream into reality,” Brantley said.
