In 2024, Brantley Gilbert released “Dirty Money,” a song that he recorded with fellow country artist Justin Moore. The song served as the opening track of Gilbert’s seventh studio album, Tattoos.

In “Dirty Money,” Gilbert and Moore sing about how working the land is in their “roots and boots,” highlighting their families’ history as farmers and stewards of the land. They acknowledge both the hard and rewarding parts of the job, singing in the chorus:

“Pray for rain,
From corn to grain,
It keeps the whole world turning.
Do it ’cause they need us,
We’re proud to be the last ones at the bank,
And the first ones up to make dirty money.”

“Dirty Money” has since inspired Gilbert to shine an even brighter light on the challenges facing American farmers. He’s achieving that mission by releasing his brand-new documentary, also titled Dirty Money.

Dirty Money is a full-length film that is narrated and executive-produced by Gilbert. Shaun Silva served as the director of the project.

The documentary introduces viewers to farmers who share the true, and oftentimes harsh realities of their lives and careers. Speaking in a press release, Gilbert described the premise of the film as such:

“Dirty Money is about giving farmers the opportunity to tell their own stories and shine a light on the realities they deal with every day, from rising costs to protecting the lands that have been in their families for generations.”

He continued to say, “Whether you grew up on a farm or have never set foot on one, I hope people walk away with a better understanding of the challenges these families face and why protecting the future of American agriculture matters to all of us.”

As of today (August 11), Dirty Money is now available to watch exclusively on FOX Nation. You can find the documentary’s official trailer below.

Brantley Gilbert Recently Released His Eighth Studio Album, Sins Of The Father

The premiere of Dirty Money comes just a little over two weeks after Brantley Gilbert released his latest album. Titled Sins of the Father, it’s his eighth studio album overall and his first with BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville.

Gilbert co-wrote every song featured on the album, 15 in total. This makes it one of his most personal records to date, as he relays his personal story of redemption throughout the album’s runtime.

The lead single from Sins of the Father is “GOOD DAMN.” Gilbert released the track in March 2026, and it experienced the second-largest add week of his career. The song continues to climb the charts at country radio.

The success of “GOOD DAMN” is especially meaningful to Gilbert, as the song is inspired by his real-life love story with his wife, Amber. For the longest time, she had been “the one that got away” for Gilbert. But they eventually reunited, married in 2015, and have since welcomed three children.
