As it turns out, working at Buc-ee’s, one of the nation’s most popular travel stops, has its perks.

Buc-ee’s has become more than a large-scale gas station—it’s a travel destination. Founded in Texas in 1982, the chain has now expanded to 55 locations across 12 states. Known for their massive stores, spotless bathrooms, and fresh food, including Texas-style BBQ, the travel centers have gained a cult following.

The brand devotion is so strong among their visitors that the stores offer a wide variety of merchandise featuring the beloved Buc-ee beaver, from coffee mugs to swimsuits to home decor, and more. Fun fact: the mascot was inspired by co-founder Arch “Beaver” Aplin III’s childhood nickname.

Buc-ee’s currently holds two world records: the Luling, Texas location is the World’s Largest Convenience Store, at 75,539 sq. ft., and the Katy, Texas, location has the World’s Longest Car Wash with 255 feet of conveyor.
