What is going on with Bunnie Xo‘s podcast?

Takeaways From Bunnie Xo’s Now-Deleted Podcast Episode

Bunnie Xo Disclaims False Narratives About Her And Jelly Roll’s Relationship

Bunnie, whose real name is Alisa DeFord, firmly pushed back against online speculation that her marriage to Jelly Roll had been staged and dismissed claims that the couple had been bound by a supposed “10-year contract” that had recently ended.

She shut down rumors suggesting the pair was divorcing because of a lawsuit or that they were separating as a strategy to shield their assets. Additionally, she confirmed that she is indeed not dating Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger.

Bunnie Xo Explains The Lead Up To The Divorce, Says It Was Not Mutual

The podcast host admitted that the emotional and physical strain of undergoing IVF, combined with the heartbreak of losing four pregnancies, left her feeling like she’d “lost her sparkle.” Additionally, it created distance between her and Jelly Roll, causing a communication breakdown.

Bunnie said she fell into a depression and stopped prioritizing her own well-being or nurturing her relationship with her husband. Tensions eventually reached a breaking point on Mother’s Day, when an argument prompted her to tell Jelly Roll to file for divorce in the heat of the moment.

Afterward, she packed a bag and left. According to Bunnie, the two went weeks without speaking before she learned that the divorce paperwork had been officially filed. She shared:

“Was I blindsided, and was this mutual? No, even though I told him to file the divorce papers, I was speaking out of anger and just frustration. But was it necessary for us to have a wake-up call and start having these conversations? Absolutely.

Bunnie Xo Describes Their IVF Journey, Reveals Future Family Plans

The former couple had been open about their plans to grow their family via IVF in recent years. Jelly Roll has two children from previous relationships, but Bunnie has none.

The 46-year-old spoke candidly about the emotional impact of her IVF experience, saying it “completely wrecked” her and left her feeling like “a shell of who I was.”

She explained that she and Jelly Roll underwent three embryo transfers, one of which involved twins, but none of the pregnancies were successful. The repeated losses left her feeling angry, questioning why they had not been able to welcome a child.

Surprisingly, Bunnie announces that she and Jelly Roll still plan to welcome a child together, despite the split and previous losses.

“Y’all are gonna be shocked to hear this, but we’re still having a baby together… We have been the most unconventional couple that you guys have ever encountered.”

Bunnie Xo Credits Jelly Roll For Saving Her, Says They Are Best Friends

Bunnie reflected on her former life as a drug dealer and high-end escort, topics she has discussed candidly on both her podcast and in her book. During the episode, she said she believes meeting Jelly Roll—whom she calls “J”—changed the course of her life and ultimately saved it. She reflected:

I really, truly feel that had I not got with my husband, I would be dead from an abusive relationship, or doing drugs, or getting caught up in a hotel room with a trick. I truly feel that my husband saved me from that.”

Throughout the podcast, Bunnie repeatedly described Jelly Roll as her best friend. She also emphasized her loyalty to him, telling listeners that she would “always protect him.”

She went on to say that she believes they fulfilled the role they were meant to play in each other’s lives and that they are bringing their marriage to a close on the best terms possible.
