Carly Pearce Delivers Powerful National Anthem Before World Series Game 3
on

Country music star Carly Pearce delivered a powerful rendition of the national anthem before Game 3 of the 2026 World Series on Monday night (October 26).
Pearce took center stage at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, ahead of the matchup between the Tampa Bay Rays and Milwaukee Brewers, bringing her country music talent to one of baseball’s biggest stages.
The Grammy Award-winning singer was part of the pregame festivities as the Fall Classic continued, with the Brewers entering Game 3 holding a 2-0 lead in the series. With the Rays back on their home field, the evening marked an exciting moment for fans as the two teams continued their battle for the championship.
Her performance brought a touch of country music to baseball’s grandest stage as fans gathered to watch the Rays and Brewers compete for the ultimate prize.
History Will Be Made At The World Series
Even before the World Series began, history was guaranteed to be made, as neither team had ever won a World Series championship.
The Tampa Bay Rays have reached the World Series twice in franchise history, in 2008 and 2020, but have yet to capture their first championship.
Their first appearance came in 2008, when the team made a remarkable turnaround from years of struggles to win the American League pennant. However, the Rays fell to the Philadelphia Phillies in five games, winning just once in the series.
Twelve years later, Tampa Bay returned to the Fall Classic to face the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2020. The Rays pushed the series to six games and came within two wins of their first title, even tying the series at two games apiece with a dramatic walk-off victory in Game 4. Unfortunately, the Dodgers won the next two games to claim the championship, leaving Tampa Bay still searching for its first World Series crown.
The Milwaukee Brewers have made it to the World Series just once in franchise history, in 1982, and came heartbreakingly close to winning their first championship. Known as “Harvey’s Wallbangers” for their powerful offense under manager Harvey Kuenn, the Brewers faced the St. Louis Cardinals in a thrilling seven-game series.
Despite standout performances from its stars, Milwaukee fell just short of its first World Series crown and has spent decades chasing another opportunity to win it all.
Now, the Brewers seem unbeatable, having only lost one game so far in the post season to the San Diego Padres in the National League Division Series. After beating the Padres in the NLDS 3-1, they went on to sweep the back-to-back Champion Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Champion Series to punch their ticket to the World Series.
As of press time, the Brewers are ahead in the series 3-0 and have a chance to sweep the Rays in their first-ever World Series win on Tuesday (October 27).
Carly Pearce Impressed Fans With Her Rendition Of The National Anthem
Wearing a baseball-style long sleeve shirt and jeans, Carly kept the song’s arrangement as simple and classic as her outfit.
She delivered a no frills rendition, which left fans in awe.
“OMG! A singer FINALLY sang our National Anthem respectfully and CORRECTLY!!! SEE, it CAN be done!!” one fan wrote on YouTube.
“Nailed it!” wrote another.
Instagram users had the same sentiments, with the following comment receiving nearly 100 likes:
“Loved @carlypearce’s rendition. She stayed true to the song and let it shine without overdoing the vocals and sounded beautiful.”
Another user commented, “Solid !! It’s better when they don’t over sing it or try to pervert the melody or arrangement. Just stick with the original notes and sing it authentically. Period.”

A facebook user said, “I thought she knocked it out of the park!!” and many agreed with her on that platform.
All in all, Carly stayed true to the original and “sang it the way it should be sung,” which impressed many viewers and fans alike. Some even said that country singers stay more true to the original than any other genre, which is why they loved it so much.
Carly isn’t the first country singer to perform the national anthem during the World Series. Mickey Guyton sang the anthem prior to Game 1 of this current series. And Brad Paisley famously performed it before four different World Series games that went past nine innings. Two of them went to 18 innings!
It seems Carly is a safe bet for the Brewers, seeing as they won 10-1!
