This wasn’t Underwood’s first time collaborating with the famous rock band. In fact, she had lead singer Axl Rose join her onstage at Stagecoach in 2022. She also performed with him on her Denim & Rhinestones tour stop in Los Angeles.
Underwood’s rock and roll history doesn’t end with Guns N’ Roses. She once collaborated with Joan Jett on the theme for Sunday Night Football.
The famous SNF theme “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night” is based off of the Joan Jett & The Blackhearts song “I Hate Myself for Loving You.” Underwood started performing the theme for SNF in 2013.
After trying out a few new songs, “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night” returned in 2019. Underwood and Jett performed the song together in honor of the NFL’s 100th season.
When Underwood opened for Guns N’ Roses in Canada, she took the opportunity to honor some of her favorite rock artists and songs. She paid tribute to Jett by performing a powerhouse rendition of “Bad Reputation.”
Released in 1980, “Bad Reputation” is one of Jett’s signature songs.
One attendee managed to capture Underwood’s entire cover of “Bad Reputation” on camera. If you weren’t one of the lucky fans at that show, be sure to check out the video below!
Those who love seeing Underwood’s rock and roll side will get another opportunity to see her open for Guns N’ Roses in Nashville on August 26. We can’t wait to hear what she sings then!
