Carson Daly Wins Halloween With Hilarious Ella Langley Costume & “Choosin’ Texas” Sing-Along
on • Updated
Ella Langley has been one of the most-talked-about celebrities in the country this year. She’s reigned over the Billboard Hot 100 for 25 weeks with “Choosin’ Texas,” breaking the record for the most weeks spent at the top of that chart.
Because of her popularity, we fully expected to see a fair share of Ella-themed Halloween costumes this year. But we never anticipated that Carson Daly would be one of the people to don such a costume!
When he isn’t on the West Coast hosting The Voice, Carson serves as an anchor on the TODAY Show in New York City.

TODAY celebrated Halloween on Friday (October 30), and Carson went all-out for the occasion.
Carson’s costume was modeled after the main look that Ella Langley wore in her official music video for “Choosin’ Texas.” Every detail was on point, including his wig, which was styled with Ella’s signature bangs and long waves.
He took things to the next level by grabbing a guitar to (silently) sing along to “Choosin’ Texas” while dancers grooved to the beat behind him. It seems like he didn’t know all of the words, but he looked like he was having a blast, regardless!
We don’t know how anyone managed to keep a straight face, but somehow, they did. Carson even turned to the camera to blow a kiss at the end.

TODAY Viewers React To Carson Daly’s Ella Langley Costume
As funny as Carson’s costume was, the reactions to it were even more amusing. TODAY viewers were quick to comment on the video, writing things such as:
“The lyrics are whatever you want them to be, Carson.”
“This is pure chaos but he’s a good sport. So funny!”
“Fella Langley! I love it.”
“Ya know what.. he’s pulling it off.”
“Dude…my jaw was on the floor immediately.”
“I am dying laughing!!! 🤣 Nailed it.”
“Wait, why does he actually look like her?”
“Questioning all his life decisions 😂”
However, Carson’s own reaction to his costume may be the best. After the show, he shared a side-by-side image of himself and Ella, writing, “Love you @ellalangleymusic & I’m so sorry about this. Happy Halloween!“
We can’t wait for Ella to watch this, because we’d love to see her response!
You can see all of the TODAY anchors’ 2026 Halloween costumes in the video below. Though we have to say, we don’t think anyone managed to top Carson’s look!
