The final 2026 shows of Chris Stapleton‘s All-American Road Show tour were set to be this week, but have been rescheduled as the artist has fallen ill.

“To all my friends in Lincoln [Nebraska] and Kansas City [Missouri], I am very sorry to let you know that I am battling the flu and am unable to perform this week’s shows,” Stapleton wrote in an Oct. 6 social media post, apologizing for the sudden change.

Notably, the CDC advises that flu shots should be offered in either September or October of 2026 for the general North American public.

Stapleton went on to announce rescheduled dates, noting that ticket holders who cannot attend the new concert times should contact their point of purchase for a refund.

Announced in the evening of Oct. 6, the first affected show was supposed to be in Lincoln, Nebraska, on the very next day: Wednesday, Oct. 7.

Following in suit, the final shows of the tour, slated to be held in Kansas City, Missouri, on Friday, Oct. 9; and Saturday, Oct. 10, were also impacted.

Rescheduled dates are, as follows:

  • The scheduled Oct. 7 show in Lincoln, Nebraska, will now be on Oct. 26;
  • The scheduled Oct. 9 show in Kansas City, Missouri, will now be on Oct. 14; and
  • The scheduled Oct. 10 show in Kansas City will now be on Oct. 15.
