Chris Stapleton and his wife, Morgane, just celebrated their 16th anniversary in October. A few weeks later, the couple attended the CMA Awards, where Chris won the award for Male Vocalist of the Year.
During his speech, Chris said:
“I want to thank my wife, Morgane. I don’t do any of this without her. Certainly don’t get any of these without her.”
Morgane and Chris work closely together, and have for years. Morgane sings in Chris’ band, writes songs with him, and served as the co-producer of his latest album, Higher.
Chris dedicated the album to Morgane.
The Stapletons also share five children: four sons and a daughter. Between kids, work, and a busy life on the road, how do Chris and Morgane manage to keep their marriage strong?

Shortly before the CMA Awards, Chris performed at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony to honor Willie Nelson. He spoke with Fox News Digital at the event, which is when he shared his key to a happy marriage with Morgane.
Chris said:
“The key to a successful marriage, I’d say communication.”
He continued, “We’re always working on that … love and kindness and patience. I think you have those things in play, hopefully, you can overcome whatever obstacles.”

While Chirs dedicated all of Higher to Morgane, one particular song on the album is a full-on ode to her. That song is titled “It Takes a Woman.” Give it a listen below.
We love the love that Chris and Morgane share!
