‘Dancing With The Stars’ Week 3 Ends In Shocking Elimination

Another celebrity was sent home during Tuesday night’s episode of Dancing With the Stars.
Dancing With the Stars Season 35, Week 3, featured the remaining 13 teams dancing for their survival on Yacht Rock Night. The week’s theme had the dancers performing Latin-style dances to soft-rock classics.
In the wake of last week’s emotional elimination of celebrity chef Giada DeLaurentiis and her partner, Alan Bernsten, there was little room for error. During the previous two weeks of competition, none of the eliminated teams were at the bottom of the leaderboard after the judges’ scores were submitted. Viewer votes carry significant weight and have repeatedly shaken up the results.

- Amber Glenn and Pasha Pashkov danced a Foxtrot to “Hold the Line” by Toto
- Taylor Hanson and Britt Stewart performed a Foxtrot to “What a Fool Believes” by The Doobie Brothers
- Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Johnson performed a Jive to “You Make My Dreams (Come True)” by Daryl Hall & John Oates
- Guillermo Rodriguez and Witney Carson danced a Foxtrot to “Escape (The Piña Colada Song)” by Rupert Holmes
- Jackson Olson and Emma Slater performed a Paso Doble to “Easy Lover” by Philip Bailey & Phil Collins
- Tatyana Ali and Jan Ravnik performed a Quickstep to “Maneater” by Daryl Hall & John Oates
- Ezra Frech and Daniella Karagach danced a Foxtrot to “Just the Two of Us” by Grover Washington Jr., featuring Bill Withers
- Tyler Cameron and Sharna Burgess danced a Jive to “Still the One” by Orleans
- Connor Wood and Rylee Arnold performed a Foxtrot to “Everywhere” by Fleetwood Mac
- Maura Higgins and Mark Ballas performed a Quickstep to “Turn Your Love Around” by George Benson
- Ciara Miller and Brandon Armstrong danced a Cha Cha to “Never Too Much” by Luther Vandross
- Julia Stiles and Ezra Sosa danced a Salsa to “I Can’t Go for That (No Can Do)” by Daryl Hall & John Oates
- Jenna Dewan and Val Chmerkovskiy performed a Samba to “Africa” by Toto
Who was eliminated on Dancing With The Stars Season 35 Week 3?
At the end of the night, after two hours of intense competition, Amber Glenn & Pasha Pashkov, Harry Shum Jr. & Jenna Johnson, and Maura Higgins & Mark Ballas sat atop the leaderboard based on judges’ scores alone. Guillermo Rodriguez & Witney Carson, Taylor Hanson & Britt Stewart, and Tyler Cameron & Sharna Burgess were at the bottom.
When the judges’ scores were combined with viewer votes, the following teams were in danger of elimination.

In a heartbreaking announcement, hosts Julianne Hough and Alfonzo Ribiero revealed that this week’s eliminated team was … Taylor Hanson & Britt Stewart. Despite having the lowest scores every week, Guillermo Rodriguez survived elimination – proof that his online fan base is incredibly strong.
An audible gasp came from the live audience when the result was read. Taylor was a fan favorite from the beginning and had huge support from his fans online.
The lead singer of the boy band Hanson, of “MMMBop” fame, reflected on his Dancing With the Stars journey, saying:
“This has been everything. This has been incredible. [Britt] has shown me things I didn’t think were possible, and I’m so grateful for this time.”

Viewers had strong reactions to Taylor Hanson’s exit.
Viewers took to social media to share their sadness and frustration over Tuesday night’s results.
“I have no idea what’s going on with this voting on dancing with the stars [sic]. You cannot be serious. Keeping this guy on a dance competition and sending good dancers home absolutely pathetic,” one fan wrote.
Another wrote on X, “They took out the MMMBop, I don’t accept this, oh Dancing with the Stars, step up your game.”
Others shared their thoughts about the elimination on Facebook saying, “I can’t believe Brit and Taylor went home, not okay!!!” and “This is absurd! The wrong dancer went home.”
