Storage Wars Stars & Fans In Mourning Following Darrell Sheets’ Death

Brandi Passante is mourning the loss of her former Storage Wars co-star, Darrell Sheets.

Sheets was a fan-favorite member of the Storage Wars cast. He earned the nickname “The Gambler” because he was never afraid to take risks or bid big.

Sheets left Storage Wars in 2023 and opened an antique shop in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Sadly, that’s the same city where Sheets was found deceased on April 22 at the age of 67.

Officers from the Lake Havasu City Police Department responded around 2 AM on April 22 to “a reported deceased individual.”

“Upon arrival, officers located a male subject who suffered from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head,” reads a press release from the department, which was cited by  PEOPLE. “The male was pronounced deceased on scene, and the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit was notified and responded to the scene to assume the investigation.”

After news broke about Sheets’ death, one of his former Storage Wars co-stars, Rene Nezhoda, shared a video on social media. Nezhoda claimed that Sheets had been dealing with a “cyberbully” who was “really, really tormenting him” before his death.

Guys, just cause you watch us on television, doesn’t mean you know us,” Nezhoda said in his video. “It doesn’t mean you know what we’re about. Also, it doesn’t entitle you to bully somebody…You shouldn’t cyberbully at all.

Sergeant Kyle Ridgway, the public information officer with the Lake Havasu City Police Department, told Page Six they are looking into the cyberbullying claims.

We are aware of these cyberbullying accusations and that is a part of the active investigation [into Sheets’ death],” Ridgway said.

I unfortunately lost a parent and a brother to similar situations,” Passante wrote. “I would like to say to everyone, if you are struggling, if you feel hopeless or like no one cares. I assure you they do!! You are not alone. Please reach out for help. You are not taking your pain away, you are transferring it to someone else. The grief from suicide is endless.”
