Ella Langley Fires Back After Riley Green Claims Credit For Her Rise

Ella Langley did not love what Riley Green said about her on The Voice.
Riley Green has joined Season 30 of The Voice as a coach alongside Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, and Queen Latifah. His dry sense of humor and quick wit have won over the majority of the show’s fans.
Fans Think Riley Took Credit For Ella Langley’s Success
Sister duo Ferryn & Brinkley’s Blind Audition earned them a well-deserved four-chair turn. While trying to persuade them to join his team, he pointed out that he’s taken another female artist on tour with him and then her career took off.
“There was a girl that reminded me a lot of y’all. I took her on tour. Her name is Ella Langley. She’s doing pretty well!” he said.
He also spoke about their voices being a great match in the old school country genre that is making its way back to popularity. The sisters ended up choosing Green as their coach, to no surprise of Clarckson, Levine, and Queen!
While he didn’t necessarily say he is the reason for her success, it seems her fans have taken his comment that way.
As most know, Langley was Green’s tour opener, but after they released “You Look Like You Love Me,” her career skyrocketed and she now is on her own headlining tour, selling out venues like Red Rocks Ampitheater.
Langley is also taking the award circuit by storm, earning the most CMA Award nominations of any artist and is up for huge awards like Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year, and more.
A Fan Asked Ella About Riley’s Comment During A TikTok Live
Ella Langley went live on TikTok when she was recently getting her makeup and hair done for a show, where she responded to a fan who asked, “When Riley took credit for your success on The Voice, did that rub you the wrong way?!“
She was mid-sentence when she read this comment, and it stopped her dead in her tracks.
She responded, “Yeah, when that man took credit? No, didn’t love that, but typical. Typical. Pretty typical.”
Some fans came to Green’s defense saying that what he said was factual and he was just trying his best to get the artists on his team, pointing out that he has taken a successful female country singer on tour and her career did skyrocket afterwards.
Others say she would have climbed to the top without him. No matter what you think, Ella’s feelings about what Riley said are valid, but also might be an ongoing issue between the two who were once rumored to be romantically involved.
They sparked some tension at last year’s CMA Awards, where fans noticed that she seemed cold to Green.
