Eric’s Church’s Broadway Bar Pokes Fun At Morgan Wallen’s Arrest With New Drink Offering
Roughly one year after Morgan Wallen was arrested at Eric Church’s Chiefs on Broadway, the bar has debuted a new menu item inspired by the ordeal.
Wallen was detained on April 7, 2024, after allegedly throwing a chair off the sixth-floor rooftop of Chiefs. The chair landed on the street below, just a few feet away from two Metro Nashville Police Officers. Thankfully, no one was hurt in the incident.
As temperatures begin to rise and bargoers begin to enjoy the Broadway rooftops, patrons have spotted a new cocktail on the Chiefs menu called “The Chair.”
This is not the first time the establishment has trolled the “Last Night” singer. After the arrest, a small sign was installed near the railing on the rooftop deck, which reads, “Don’t even think about it; you are not Morga Wallen.”
A few weeks later, the marquee on the front of the massive honky tonk was lit up with a promotion for their rooftop BBQ restaurant. It read, “Our pigs fly, our chairs don’t.”
What’s In “The Chair” Cocktail?
“The Chair” is made of Smirnoff raspberry vodka, raspberry liqueur, lemonade, and a splash of soda, according to a TikTok video that has gone viral. The original poster, who is reportedly also a bartender at Chiefs, says the drink has a price tag of $19.
Served in a red plastic cup, the cocktail features a plastic chair with a Chiefs logo positioned on the brim.

It is safe to say that this is all in good fun, as Church and Wallen are known to be friends. They have collaborated on projects such as their number-one song, “God Made A Bar.”
The Outcome Of The Infamous Chair-Throwing Incident
Morgan Wallen’s initial felony charges were reduced to misdemeanors after a lengthy process.
The 31-year-old singer pled guilty to two misdemeanor counts on December 12th, 2024. He was sentenced to serve seven days in a DUI education center and two years of probation.
Afterward, Wallen’s attorney, Worrick Robinson IV, shared in a statement:
“Mr. Wallen has cooperated fully with authorities throughout these last eight months, directly communicating and apologizing to all involved. Mr. Wallen remains committed to making a positive impact through his music and foundation.”
