Garth Brooks Announces New Arena Tour, Reveals 1st Stop On The Trek

In late June, a countdown clock appeared on Garth Brooks‘ official website. The clock indicated that it would end at 7 AM ET on July 7th, and text above the timer read “The Future Is About To Become History.”
Because of the 7 AM announcement time on 7/7, many fans felt that Brooks was referencing 777, a symbol often associated with jackpots and, therefore, Las Vegas. This led to speculation that Brooks was teasing an upcoming residency at the Sphere, where artists such as Zac Brown Band, Kenny Chesney, and the Eagles have performed.
The meaning behind the mysterious countdown clock was finally revealed when it expired. Brooks is embarking on a new arena tour!
The Blame It All On My Roots Arena Tour is a callback to Brooks’ groundbreaking arena tour in 1996. His website describes the upcoming tour as:
“…a full-scale return to the arenas that made him a legend, featuring the return of the iconic drum pod and the production that changed live music forever.”
The article on Brooks’ website says the Blame It All On My Roots Tour will also serve as the foundation for a new project called Killer Live. This project has been described as a “new approach to live recording that continues Brooks’ tradition of capturing history in real time.”
Brooks also unveiled the tour’s first stop. He’ll travel to Indianapolis, Indiana, initially announcing two performances at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on August 21st and August 22nd (more dates have since been added; keep reading for more).
How To Get Tickets For Garth Brooks’ New Arena Tour
Those who want to snag a ticket to the first stop on Garth Brooks’ new arena tour should already be online today, Friday, July 17th. General on-sale began at 10 AM ET. There were no pre-sales or advance box office sales.
Tickets can be purchased via www.ticketmaster.com/garthbrooks or on the Ticketmaster app
Another post on Brooks’ website states that fans could join Ticketmaster’s virtual waiting room up to 30 minutes before tickets for Indianapolis went on sale. As the post explains, “The waiting room is designed to confirm you’re a real person — not a bot or someone trying to game the system.” However, being in the waiting room does not guarantee you will secure a ticket.
Tickets for end-stage and in-the-round seating will be available. Regardless of where the seat is located in the arena, each ticket will cost $154 (that includes taxes and fees).
“Going back into the arenas is about putting the stadium show in a box,” Brooks shared in a statement posted to his website. “The excitement gets multiplied by the intimacy. Every seat is a great seat. This is personal.”
Later on July 17th, Gainbridge Fieldhouse announced that, due to overwhelming demand, Brooks had added two additional shows at the arena. The new opening night of the tour is now April 20th.
In addition to that date and the previously announced performances on April 21st and April 22nd, Brooks will have a “matinee” show on April 23rd.
Writing on X (formerly Twitter), Brooks’ team said the ticket queue had nearly 400,000 people in it at one point.
