On Wednesday (May 6), Hannah returned to Willow Springs, Missouri, for a hometown celebration in honor of her Top 3 status on Idol. Fans from all over the state gathered to show their support for Hannah with a parade before she took the stage for a concert.
Photos and videos showed a massive crowd welcoming Hannah Harper home. Fans with signs lined the streets, cars were decked out with signs showing their support, and the local football stadium was packed with fans as far as the camera could see.
During her visit, surprised fans by debuting a brand-new original song inspired by the town that supported her long before the rest of the country discovered her talent.
“Married Into This Town” captures the heart of small-town life, highlighting family roots, hometown traditions, Friday night memories, and the close-knit sense of community that shaped her journey.
On Monday (May 11), Hannah performed her new song on the Idol finale stage.
Her hometown, country ballad received a roaring applause from the crowd, and all three judges complimented her songwriting.
Carrie Underwood became emotional following Hannah’s performance, telling the contestant she “deserved” to be on because of everything she represented as a person. Underwood also noted the full-circle moment of Harper beginning her journey on the show with an original song and ending it the same way during the finale.
