During the special appearance, HARDY and Brantley Gilbert joined each other on stage to sing Keith’s classic “How Do You Like Me Now.”
“How Do You Like Me Now” was the title track from Toby Keith’s fifth studio album released in 1999. Since then, it has become a fan favorite and remains a staple in Keith’s musical catalogue.
HARDY and Toby Keith had closely collaborated in the past, just before Keith’s untimely death. Keith is featured on HARDY’s MIXTAPE: Vol. 3: DIFFTAPE, a compilation of songs honoring the late Joe Diffie. On this album, Keith sings “Ships That Don’t Come In,” which is believed to be his last musical recording before passing in February of this year.
Toby Keith passed away on February 5, just a month before the album’s release, after a courageous two-year battle with stomach cancer.
