Lainey Wilson Married Devlin “Duck” Hodges On May 10th

Congratulations are in order for Lainey Wilson, because she just got married!

The “Can’t Sit Still” singer wed former NFL star Devlin “Duck” Hodges on Sunday, May 10th. Their ceremony and reception were held at the Ruskin Cave in Dickson, Tennessee.

The couple shared over 80 wedding photos with Vogue and told the outlet all about their special day.

Instead of rocking her signature bell-bottoms, Wilson wore a gorgeous, custom-made wedding gown designed by Oscar de la Renta. For the ceremony, she wore her hair long and loose, trading her typical cowboy hat for a veil.

However, Wilson (and Hodges) both wore cowboy hats during the reception. That theme carried over to their decor, with tiny cowboy hats displayed for their seating chart. The guests’ names were written on the feathers.

Speaking of the guests, Wilson and Hodges’ wedding was a star-studded event! The photos they shared with Vogue captured artists such as Miranda Lambert, Wynonna Judd, Ella Langley, and Luke Bryan, all looking fashionable and having fun at the wedding.

“Our family and friends know how to have a good time, and the dance floor was packed all night,” Wilson said. “To close out a perfect evening, Duck and I followed the band through a send-off line of sparklers and cheering loved ones, climbed into an old white Ford truck, and drove off!”

Lainey Wilson & Duck Hodges Shared Their First Dance As Husband & Wife To A Romantic Country Song

As you would expect, music played an important role in Lainey Wilson and Duck Hodges’ wedding. Wilson honored her Louisiana roots by hiring a 12-piece jazz band (the legendary Rebirth Brass Band) to perform.

It was so lovely to have that touch of my home in Louisiana up here in Tennessee,” Wilson said.

At the conclusion of the wedding ceremony, Wilson and Hodges walked down the aisle to the tune of “Where Is My Husband!” by British singer-songwriter Raye.

They kept it country at the reception, sharing their first dance as husband and wife to the heartwarming tune “Walk in a Room” by Muscadine Bloodline.

It’s worth noting that Vogue printed that the song title was “10-90,” also by Muscadine Bloodline. But the lyrics quoted came from “Walk in a Room.” Those lyrics are:

“You walk in a room / And I lose my breath / Coming my way / Counting your steps / My heart starts to beat / Out of my chest / Harder and harder / The closer you get.”

Muscadine Bloodline originally released “Walk in a Room” in 2020 on their album Burn It at Both Ends. They remade the song for their latest album, The Sound of Roses, which was just released on May 1st.
