Country superstar Lainey Wilson officially said “I do” to former NFL quarterback Devlin “Duck” Hodges on Sunday, May 10.
Lainey Wilson and Duck Hodges chose an unexpected and stunning venue for their big day. Ruskin Cave in Dickson, Tennessee, served as the backdrop for the wedding and was discovered by the couple by accident.
As Lainey tells it, the whole thing started with a billboard. “Duck and I were driving backroads in Tennessee and saw a billboard for The Ruskin Cave,” she told Vogue. Duck asked her, “You wanna get married there?” She replied, “Done deal. We dropped by, saw the venue, and fell in love with the natural beauty of the cave and the simplicity of the property.”
The ceremony was breathtaking as seen in photos shared exclusively with Vogue. Lainey arrived by horse-drawn carriage wearing a custom Oscar de la Renta gown adorned with delicate Japanese cherry blossoms at the neckline and scattered throughout the dress.
“The cherry blossom represents living in the moment, and that’s exactly what we did,” she told Vogue.

The white dress featured a sweeping train and a floral-appliquéd veil. Duck donned a D. Lacquaniti suit with custom cufflinks and a bolo tie. The two exchanged vows on a cobblestone ledge overlooking a waterfall, framed by arched windows and lush florals.
“I have never seen Duck smile as big as he did then,” Lainey recalled about the moment she walked down the aisle. “It made me feel giddy about turning the page into this next chapter of marriage. We were both anxious to say ‘I do!'”
Lainey and Duck’s Cave Reception
The reception moved the wedding party and guests into the cave. Lainey’s mom opened the evening with a dinner prayer before guests settled in for a night surrounded by family, close friends, and a guest list that included Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Wynonna Judd, Jelly Roll, and Lauren Alaina, among others.
Cowboy hats made an appearance with guests finding their seats through a display of miniature hats, each name written on the feather. “It was so lovely to have that touch of my home in Louisiana up here in Tennessee,” Lainey said.
Wedding guests kept the dance floor full throughout the night. “Our family and friends know how to have a good time, and the dance floor was packed all night,” Lainey shared. “To close out a perfect evening, Duck and I followed the band through a send-off line of sparklers and cheering loved ones, climbed into an old white Ford truck, and drove off!”
