Jason Aldean Announces New Album, Songs About Us

Back in November, Jason Aldean announced he was releasing his newest album, Songs About Us. The album was described by Jason as the “highs, the lows, and everything in between.”

Featured on the album, is Jason’s very first duet with his wife, Brittany. The duo recorded “Easier Gone,” which was written by Josh Kerr and Jimmy Robbins, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood from Lady A.

The new album also includes the just-released “Hard To Love You,” “Lovin’ Me Too Long,” and “Help You Remember.” Aldean shared that the 20-song album is all about the best and worst moments in life.

“It means the world when one of my songs helps someone through a hard time—or celebrates their best moments,” Aldean said. “This album is about all of that—the highs, the lows, and everything in between. Every track started with a real story or feeling, and together we turned those experiences into music. In the end, I realized this album is about all of us. These are songs about us.”

Jason Releases A Few Songs Earlier Than Anticipated

On December 31, Jason shared a social media post, urging fans to head to his website for a special “New Year’s Eve surprise.”

That announcement included Brittany, and the duo shared they “have something special” coming sooner than the April album release date.

“I’ve been hearing a lot of people say they don’t want to wait until April for some new music,” Jason told fans at the time. “So, how about we drop 3 new songs for you guys in January.”

The couple then confirmed “Easier Gone” would indeed be released early. On March 12, Jason officially released a “fireside” session of the couple performing the hit together on his YouTube channel. Alongside a few bandmates, Jason and Brittany can be seen wearing cowboy attire, jamming to the song.

Songs About Us Makes Its Debut

On Friday (April 25), Jason officially released Songs About Us for the world to hear.

The album is Jason’s first release of music since 2023’s Highway Desperado. Songs About Us was released through Broken Bow Records and Macon Music. It was produced by his longtime collaborator, Michael Knox.

The album’s lead single, “How Far Does a Goodbye Go”, first debuted in the top 20 of the Billboard Country Airplay chart back in September.

In addition to his wife, Songs About Us also features duets with country superstar Luke Bryan and David Lee Murphy on his self-penned “Dust on the Bottle.”
