The 2026 midterm election is only about a week away, and much is at stake as Republicans are hoping to maintain majorities in both the House of Representatives and the Senate.

For Democrats to take the House, only three additional seats are needed. Similarly, in the Senate, Democrats only need four to take the majority.

With those narrow margins, President Donald Trump is campaigning for Republican candidates, giving speeches at rallies in battleground states nearly every day leading up to the Nov. 3 election.

At an Oct. 24 rally in Perry, Georgia, the 47th president encouraged residents to vote for Republicans, renewing his promise of issuing a $5,000 check for every American adult if Republicans maintain their majorities in the House and Senate.

On hand to introduce Trump at the rally was one of his most famous supporters: country star Jason Aldean.

Humorously, Trump had much more than just “thank you” to say to Aldean, as he proceeded to roast the country artist.

At the Republican rally ahead of the midterm in Perry, Georgia, country artist Jason Aldean — who hails from Macon, Georgia — came onstage to introduce President Donald Trump.

Aldean, who arrived at the podium and threw some red MAGA hats into the audience, began his brief introduction by saying, “Couldn’t miss a chance to be here for my favorite president, President Donald Trump, here in our backyard.”

Encouraging everyone in attendance to vote, Aldean then introduced Trump as a “friend,” with Trump walking out and embracing the country artist.

From there, Trump then began delivering his speech, leaning on his accomplishments with a Republican majority, and decrying the “radicals” who threaten to destabilize his mandate.

However, about 15 minutes into his speech, Trump must’ve made eye contact with the Aldeans in the audience, as Trump then proceeded to ask the crowd out of the blue:

“Do you think Jason Aldean would have a wife as beautiful as his wife if he couldn’t sing? I don’t think so.”

Jason and Brittany Aldean have been married since 2015, with both being outspoken conservatives and allies of the 45th and 47th president.

To laughter from the audience, Trump then continued, saying, “Isn’t it nice to be able to sing, Jason? And look at her, she’s so in love with you. The day you stop selling records, she’s gone, so you better work.”

As the audience continued to laugh, Trump simply stated, “They’re my friends.”
