Jason Aldean Stops Concert To Tell Fans To Get Out & Vote, “It Is a Big Deal”
on Sep 03, 2024
Jason Aldean recently encouraged his fans to participate in the upcoming presidential election by reminding them to “get out and vote” during one of his concerts.
Over the weekend, during a show on his Highway Desperado Tour, Jason Aldean took a moment to address the audience about the importance of voting in the upcoming November elections, particularly encouraging those who are voting for the first time.
“It’s not my place for me to stand up here and tell you who to vote for and who not to vote for,” he began. “That ain’t my business. It ain’t my place to tell you that.”
Aldean went on to mention that while performing, he noticed many young people in the crowd, including those in their late teens and early twenties, who are now eligible to vote. He reflected on how, when he was younger, he didn’t pay much attention to voting and didn’t fully understand its importance at the time.
He stressed that it “is a big deal” and added that those who don’t vote lose the right to complain about the outcomes.
“If you don’t get out and vote, you got no right to b**** about the outcome of the election,” he told the audience. “If you want to see some s*** change, then get out. It takes 30 minutes out of your day,” he added.
