Jelly Roll Files For Divorce Against Wife Bunnie Xo
On Monday (June 15), news broke that singer Jelly Roll (Jason DeFord) had filed for divorce from his wife of almost 10 years, Bunnie Xo (Alisa DeFord).
TMZ reported that the divorce documents cite “irreconcilable differences” as the reason behind the split. The paperwork also revealed that the couple’s separation date was listed as May 9, roughly one week before Jelly Roll officially filed for divorce.
The news came as a shock to fans, since they often gushed about one another in public and on social media. Most recently, they were together at the beginning of May to celebrate Jelly Roll’s daughter, Bailee Ann, going to prom.
Bunnie Xo Addresses The Divorce On Her Podcast
In a tell-all podcast about her divorce, Bunnie Xo addressed rumors and explained where the two actually stand today. Bunnie made it clear during the 54-minute episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast, that she and Jelly ended things on decent terms, calling him her “best friend forever.”
While Bunnie and Jelly don’t share any children, she helped raise Jelly’s now 18-year-old daughter, Bailee. Jelly also has a son from another prior relationship, named Noah.
The couple had previously opened up about their plans to have a child together, with Bunnie revealing in her 2026 memoir, Stripped Down, that they had found a surrogate and were hoping to welcome twins.
In the video, titled “The Divorce,” the podcast host shares that she still loves Jelly and credits the singer for helping shape the woman she is today.
“I think the biggest thing here is everybody needs to understand why this is happening, where this is coming from, and what we’re doing moving forward, because that is the most important part here, is that I think everybody’s so hung up on our past and what we built together…but our future is so much more important. And being happy, and healthy, and best friends through this is probably, I think, the biggest gift that we could have given each other.”

Jelly Roll Releases His Own Divorce Vlog
On Friday (June 19), Jelly Roll released his own vlog addressing the divorce news.
Titled “The Divorce Vlog,” the singer shares a glimpse into his life lately, including CMA Fest and his recent gifting to a fan of indefinet free tickets to his shows.
At the end, Jelly addressed the divorce:
“I told you all I was going to giving you all the piping hot tea about the divorce,” Jelly says.
He then calls Bunnie Xo on the phone and she instructs everyone to head to her podcast to hear all the details.
