Joey + Rory’s family dog, Ranger, passed away on Saturday (April 4).

Joey + Rory’s daughter, Heidi Feek, posted on her Instagram stating that their family dog had passed away and they buried him behind the house near Joey. “I think Ranger would’ve liked that.”

Ranger was a huge part of Joey + Rory’s life. Rory Feek had captured many of those moments on camera and posted them to his Instagram. Ranger was even a part of Joey + Rory’s music video for “When I’m Gone,” as seen below.

Let’s go down memory lane of Ranger and his sweet family the Feeks.

Ranger and Joey loved spending time on the beach together.

Ranger even got to go backstage and spend time with Joey during intermission at their shows.

Ranger attended filmings of the Joey + Rory show, however, he wasn’t always thrilled about it.

Joey + Rory found out they were expecting in early 2014. Their sweet daughter, Indiana (Indy) Feek, was born on February 17, 2014.

Ranger enjoyed the perks of Joey’s pregnancy, especially her new pregnancy pillow!

Ranger and Indy became the best of friends.

Although sometimes Ranger would prefer Indy chose somewhere else to sleep.

He did love when they shared meals though.

Joey was diagnosed with cervical cancer in May of 2014. After surgery and treatment, she was declared cancer-free. Unfortunately, a little over a year later Joey discovered the cancer had returned.

Joey Feek passed away on March 4, 2016, after a long battle with cervical cancer. Fulfilling her wishes, Joey was buried in Tennessee behind their home in the family cemetery. Ranger has now joined her.

After Joey’s passing Ranger sure did miss her. He visited her gravesite often.
