Kacey Musgraves is making quite the scene on her latest tour, bringing plenty of sparkle (along with an unusual surprise) to the stage.

Musgraves first announced her 2026 tour plans back in April. The country music star is bringing her latest music to fans across North America with a string of dates, including stops in several major cities.

Several previously announced dates have also been canceled, including shows in Chicago, Boston and Brooklyn. No specific reason was immediately provided for the cancellations.

Kacey Musgraves Surprises Fans During Her Performance Of “Dry Spell”

Musgraves’ new album serves as the follow-up to her 2024 record Deeper Well. The project includes collaborations with several major artists including Willie Nelson and Miranda Lambert.

Middle of Nowhere offers an intimate glimpse into Musgraves’ current chapter in life, which she has described as the “longest single period” she has ever experienced.

One of the more talked-about songs on the album is a track titled “Dry Spell,” which offers a candid look at Musgraves’ experience spending an extended period of time without intimacy.

In “Dry Spell,” Musgraves uses witty lyrics and double entendres to poke fun at her lack of romantic and sexual activity. Rather than dwelling on loneliness, she embraces the situation with humor:

It’s been a real long three-hundred and thirty-five days
And the last time, it wasn’t good anyway
I’m so lonely, lonely with a capital ‘H’
If you know what I mean, I’ve been sitting on the washing machine”

The “Rainbow” singer debuted the song at the 2026 ACM Awards, where the performance was met with some controversial backlash.

At Musgraves’ most recent tour stop at Chicago’s United Center, the country star surprised fans with a stage prop unlike anything they’d seen before. Everyone knows the classic disco ball, but Musgraves took the concept to another level (literally) by riding around the stage on a set of giant disco balls.

Beyond the playfulness of the tour, she recently turned the concept behind “Dry Spell” into a real-life product, teaming up with Medicine Mama to launch Drought Drops, an intimate-care product inspired by the song.

It will certainly be interesting to see what Musgraves has in store for fans as her tour continues. For the latest dates you can visit her official website and check out her full tour schedule here.
