Kid Rock emphasizes the importance of freedom of speech

As the 2024 election approaches, more celebrities from different facets of the entertainment industry are speaking out to encourage voters to get involved.

In a casual video shot on his front porch, country rocker Kid Rock strums an acoustic guitar as if he is about to break into song.

“Now that I have your attention…” he begins. “I love Eminem. We’ve been friends for many years. I don’t agree with his politics, but I do give credit to him and people like Taylor Swift for standing up and not being afraid to be vocal for that in which they believe.”

Rapper Eminem and global pop star Taylor Swift have both spoken publicly about the presidential race. Eminem made an appearance at Kamala Harris’s rally in his hometown of Detroit this week and declared his public endorsement of her for the presidency.

Similarly, Swift shared a social media post last month also endorsing the democratic candidate.

Kid Rock continues:

“Thinking differently and having the freedom to do so is what makes this country great.”

Kid Rock gives his endorsement for the upcoming election

The “All Summer Long” singer emphasizes that his vote is “unequivocally” for the republican candidate Donald Trump. He adds that he believes with “heart, mind, body, and soul” in the former president’s promise (and campaign tagline) to “make America great again.”

This, of course, is no surprise as Kid Rock is known to be outspoken about his beliefs and has regularly expressed his support for the politician in recent years. Fittingly, he performed during the final night of the Republican National Convention in July.
