Lainey Wilson Experienced A Wardrobe Malfunction Onstage At The Faster Horses Festival In Michigan
Lainey Wilson is adding an extra step to her routine to prevent future wardrobe malfunctions.
As the reigning CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year, Wilson is known for her energetic and lively performances. She was headlining the Faster Horses Festival in Brooklyn, Michigan, on Saturday (July 20) when she suddenly stepped backstage.

Later, she told the audience she ripped her pants during her performance.
“Y’all just about got a real show…a real show,” she joked. “There’s a first time for everything, and I’m glad it was y’all that I split my pants wide open in front of. You can’t make that up…I’d have never known had my people back here not seen it.“
Wilson was glad her team noticed the wardrobe malfunction and ushered her away to change her pants. Admittedly, that wasn’t easy to do quickly. “I’ll tell you what: Try and put on some jeans when you’re sweating—it ain’t fun,” she said.

Wilson Shares Her Solution To Avoid Future Mishaps
The Grand Ole Opry member continued to poke fun at herself the following day (July 21). She shared a hilarious video demonstrating the new step she’s adding to her routine to prevent any future mishaps.
The video, set to the tune of her own song “Hang Tight Honey,” shows Wilson doing a series of squats and kicks in a pair of her signature bell-bottom pants. She captioned it, “adding this into my routine before a show so my britches don’t rip like they did last night at faster horses.”
Some of Wilson’s famous friends commented on the post to laugh along with her and to compliment her outfit.
“Be cuter,” wrote Wilson’s Yellowstone co-star Kelly Reilly.
“Blame it on that 🍑” commented Lauren Alaina, who recorded a song with Wilson called “Thicc As Thieves.”
“You are the best. I also do this move in my britches before shows for the same reason,” wrote Natalie Stovall.
“Add a karate kick to it & that’s exactly what I do before I go onstage…” said Caylee Hammack.
