Taylor Swift surprised a Nashville crowd on Tuesday night (June 23) when she joined Lainey Wilson on stage at The Pinnacle.

Travis Kelce’s Tight End University took place in Nashville, Tennessee and it included an evening called “Tight Ends & Friends” at the Nashville venue The Pinnacle, where some of the biggest country stars took the stage.

On June 16th, the organization announced the performers would include Chase Rice, Dan + Shay, HARDY, Kane Brown, Mitchell Tenpenny, Nate Smith, Jon Pardi, The War and Treaty, and Lainey Wilson.

Unfortunately, Kane Brown was unable to perform, as he had a golfing accident that left him with a concussion and 23 stitches.

But, TEU more than made up for it!

All the performers sang their biggest hits, and Wilson closed out the show with a huge surprise.

After Lainey performed, she was talking to the crowd and it was obvious she was about to bring out a surprise guest, and some of the fans in audience had an inkling as to who it could be.

Seeing as she was in attendance at the TEU welcome party two nights prior, and that she did a surprise “Shake It off” performance last year with Kane Brown, fans thought maybe Taylor Swift would perform again this year.

Lainey addressed the crowd, “I don’t think y’all are ready for what’s about to happen. When I was 14 years old and I started coming to this thing called CMA Fest, and I came every single year. The very first year that I came, I got to see this act down at the Riverfront Stage. She was 16, I was 14, and there was like 30 people there. Four of the 30 was me, my momma, my daddy, and my sister.”

She continued, I knew that day there was something really really special and it has been so cool to see what she has done. She is just as kind as she is talented. Y’all welcome to the stage, my friend, Taylor Swift!

Swift walked out on stage to loud cheers from the crowd and praised Wilson’s performance, also calling the “Hang Tight Honey” singer, “my friend.”

“We have a very special request from a very special tight end who wanted to hear a particular song,” Taylor told the audience. “And that tight end is named George Kittle.”

Many people might have though the very special tight end she was referring to would be her fiancé, Travis Kelce, who she is rumored to be marrying the first weekend of July, so she made sure to clear it up! Plus, fans know that his favorite Taylor Swift song is “Blank Space.”

The band began playing the intro to “Love Story” and the crowd just went absolutely nuts.

Taylor started out the song solo with Lainey standing next to her singing along, but not in her microphone.

If fans were wondering if Kittle really was the one to request the song, you wouldn’t have to look far for proof. He and his wife, Claire Kittle, were standing front row screaming their heads off!
