Luke Bryan Forced To Cancel Farm Tour Stop

Luke Bryan canceled his September 17th Farm Tour stop just several hours before it was scheduled to begin.
On Thursday (September 17) around 2:15 pm ET, Bryan took to social media to announce that his Farm Tour stop in Latrobe, PA would be canceled.
“Unfortunately tonight’s Farm Tour show in Latrobe, PA will not take place due to the conditions of the field. I am so sorry. This call was made for everyone’s safety,” he wrote.
Bryan asked fans to hang on to their tickets and parking passes because they are trying to figure out “the next steps,” meaning if they will be able to reschedule it or make the decision to officially cancel and refund everyone.
Why Did Luke Bryan Have To Cancel His Farm Tour Stop?
While Luke himself cited “conditions of the field,” it is a little more than just simple conditions.
In an interview with KDKA Radio, Aleisha Stas, owner of 1846 Farms, said that when Bryan’s crew was attempting to set up on Wednesday (September 16), the muddy conditions made it impossible to set up the stage.
“Some of the trucks got stuck in the mud and overall it was a safety concern,” she said.
Stas also opened up about the huge ordeal that it took to host one of Bryan’s Farm Tour stops.
“We did not plant crops this year, we cleared land, we have spent hours and hours and hours…to host 20,000 people on our farm,” she revealed.
Stas continued, “I think a lot of people have a misconception when you’re hosting a concert, they think we’re a concert venue and we should be prepared for these kinds of conditions. We are an active, working farm.”
An early morning storm is what caused the field’s muddy condition, and as Stas said, “This is the life of the American farmer, it truly is. This is what we deal with every single day no matter how much we prepare or how much we work, mother nature makes the call and it really is the true example of what a farmer deals with every single day.”

Luke Bryan Launched Farm Tour In 2009
17 years ago, Luke Bryan went on his first Farm Tour, where he’d play a concert at a real, working farm.
A portion of the proceeds from every tour goes toward local college scholarships for students from farming families attending community colleges or universities near each concert location.
Fans React To The Cancellation
Many fans were disappointed in the cancellation of the show. While they understood the reasoning behind it, many made some hilarious comments referencing Luke’s own songs.
