on • Updated

Congratulations are in order for Martina McBride… because she’s a new grandma!
Martina and her husband, John McBride, share three daughters: Delaney, Emma, and Ava. In April, the “Blessed” singer shared the happy news that their eldest, Delaney, was expecting her first child with her husband, Cole.
“My first baby is having a baby!!!!!” Martina wrote alongside two Polaroid photos, one showing Delaney and Cole, and another showing Delaney cradling her baby bump.
She continued to say, “We are so excited and happy to be welcoming our first grandchild. We are blessed indeed.”

Then, on November 2, Martina announced that her grandbaby was born!
Delaney and Cole are now the parents of a beautiful baby girl. Martina shared several photos of their family’s new addition, and they’re as precious as can be. The third photo in her slideshow is especially sweet, as it depicts Martina’s overwhelming joy upon becoming a grandma.
Martina also shared her granddaughter’s name, writing:
“She’s here!!! Mia Katharine we love you beyond measure. Mom, Dad, and baby are all doing just great. We are so grateful.”
Mia’s middle name is extra special because Delaney has the same one. You can see baby Mia’s first photos in the slideshow below.
Do You Remember When Martina McBride’s Daughters Appeared In Her Music Video For “Blessed”?
One of Martina McBride’s biggest and most meaningful hits is “Blessed.” The song has Martina celebrating her greatest blessings in life, as she sings:
“I have been blessed,
With so much more than I deserve.
To be here with the ones that love me,
To love them so much it hurts.
I have been blessed.”
Martina released the track in 2001, and it peaked at the #1 spot on the Hot Country Songs chart. It also crossed over to claim the 31st spot on the all-genre Hot 100 chart.
Martina earned her second Grammy nomination for the song, which was up for Best Female Country Vocal Performance in 2003. It lost to “Cry” by Faith Hill.
The music video for “Blessed” was quite personal, as it featured Martina’s husband, John, and their two oldest daughters, Delaney and Emma. The girls were only 7 and 3 when it was filmed, and Ava was born four years later, in 2005.
Take a stroll down memory lane by watching the music video for “Blessed” below. It’s crazy to think that little Delaney has her own daughter now!
