Megan Moroney broke down in tears as she cut her July 28th show short.

On May 29, country star Megan Moroney kicked off her Could 9 Tour that has taken her all over the country, and will take her to Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, France, and the United Kingdom.

When she kicked off the tour, she called it “pure magic.”

Megan Couldn’t Get Through Her July 28th Show In Denver

Moroney has been performing nearly every night for the last two months and it seems she caught a bug that she couldn’t quite fight off to get through the concert.

She opened the show with “Stupid,” and followed it with “Medicine” and “Bless Your Heart” before she cut her band off and addressed the crowd.

As she spoke, you could tell she was battling an illness.

She said, “This is obviously the last thing I would want to do, but I am obviously extremely sick and I thought I did everything to make myself better, but then obviously two songs in I just can’t play this song tonight. I will make it up to you guys, I absolutely promise I’ll be back, y’all will be able to come, but I want to give you guys the show you deserve. And I’m probably going to go cry in my dressing room now. I’m sorry.”

She began crying on stage and the crowd was incredibly supportive, attempting to comfort her from their seats with cheers of “I love you,” and “Aww Megan.”

After watching the video, you can tell her fans were incredibly understanding, which is not always the case.

Before walking off stage, she promised the crowd she’d make it up to them. Not long after she exited the stage, she put out a statement on social media apologizing once again and letting fans know when the Denver show would be rescheduled.

“Denver, that was the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make & I’m so sorry to cancel the show tonight,” she wrote.

Her statement continued, “I never ever will give you guys a show that is not 100% and by song 3 I knew that I was not capable of giving that to you tonight. I’m typing this as I’m literally bawling my eyes out in my dressing room & it hurts me so much to disappoint you all.”

She revealed she will return to Denver on August 27th and tickets will be honored for the new date. The singer also announced that if fans aren’t able to attend the rescheduled show, they can get refunds.

“I’ve never had to do this & I’m truly so sorry,” she ended the statement.
