Post Malone Headlines Stagecoach Day 3

Post Malone didn’t hold back during his Stagecoach set.

The rapper-turned country star headlined the festival’s final night, closing out the three-day event with over 90 minutes worth of songs.

Fans who were there got to hear some of his biggest hits, including favorites like “Sunflower” and “Circles,” along with multiple country tracks from his debut country album F-1 Trillion, such as “We Don’t Belong Together” and “Pour Me a Drink.”

Malone didn’t keep the stage to himself either. He brought out several special guests throughout the night. At one point, he welcomed rising artists Jake Worthington and Braxton Keith.

He even surprised the crowd by teaming up with Grammy-winning singer Shaboozey, who performed part of Malones No.1 song “I Had Some Help.” The song is originally a duet with Morgan Wallen, who wasn’t in attendance at stagecoach this year.

As the final performer at one of the biggest country music festivals of the year, Malone also made sure to pay tribute to the artists who helped shape the genre.

He performed a handful of classic covers, such as Garth Brooks’ “Rodeo,” Kenny Chesney’s “How Forever Feels,” and George Straits “Give It Away.”

But many fans would probably agree that Malone saved the most meaningful moment for last.

To close out his set, he chose to honor the late Toby Keith with a performance of “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American).”

Keith originally wrote the song in 2001 following the death of his father and the 9/11 attacks that happened the same year.

It was released in 2002 as the lead single for his album Unleashed, and went on to be one of the most popular songs of his career.

This wasn’t the first time Malone had performed a Toby Keith song during one of his shows.

After Keith passed away in February 2024 from a three-year battle with stomach cancer, Malone honored him by performing “As Good as I Once Was” at the American Rodeo in Texas. During the performance, he poured out some beer from a red Solo cup as a sign of respect.

He has also covered other songs from Keith’s catalog, like “Wish I Didn’t Know Now” and “Who’s Your Daddy?”
