Post Malone confirms a country album is in the works

At the end of 2023, Post Malone was asked repeatedly during a Twitch livestream about his new endeavor into the genre. Between rounds of the video game he was playing, he confirmed:

“Country record is coming… I keep singing a song that we made while I was in Nashville, and it’s so f–ing sick, but it’s not out.”

Post Malone and Morgan Wallen release “I Had Some Help”

In April, Post Malone joined forces with superstar Morgan Wallen to write and record his first country single. The duo performed “I Had Some Help” for the first time at California’s Stagecoach Festival, and the official studio version was released on May 10th.

The single debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 with the highest weekly sales and streams of any song since 2020. It held the top spot for six nonconsecutive weeks, longer than any other song this year.

During CMA Fest in June, Blake Shelton and Post Malone surprised the Nashville crowd and performed their never-before-heard collaboration “Pour Me A Drink.” The song hit streaming services on June 21st, and the official music video was released just a few days later.

After that, Post picked up momentum and released “Guy For That” with Luke Combs as well as teased music with Chris Stapleton and Jelly Roll.

As of this week, F-1 Trillion has reportedly already sold over 500,000 units

Even though we are still three days away from the official album release, Post Malone’s new record is preemptively seeing major success. According to Chart Data, F-1 Trillion has already sold enough units to make it eligible for Gold Certification by the RIAA.

In the context of streaming, each digital download counts as one unit of sale, and every 150 on-demand audio and/or video streams counts as one unit for certification.

F-1 trillion officially drops this Friday, and it is safe to say that we can anticipate some huge numbers from the release. Stay tuned!
