Country singer and The Voice alum RaeLynn has filed for divorce from her husband, Joshua Davis.

RaeLynn rose to fame after competing on Season 2 of The Voice in 2012 as a member of Blake Shelton‘s team. In 2014, she scored her breakthrough single when “God Made Girls” reached #7 on the Country Airplay chart. A series of other hits followed, including “For a Boy,” “Love Triangle,” and “Lonely Call.”

RaeLynn married Josh four years after she competed on The Voice. The couple welcomed their first and only child together, a daughter named Daisy Rae Davis, on September 8, 2021.

But after 10 years of marriage, RaeLynn and Josh have split.

Court records viewed by Country Rebel show that RaeLynn (real name Racheal Davis) filed for divorce from Joshua Davis in Tennessee’s Davidson County on June 8, 2026.

On Tuesday (July 14), RaeLynn published a statement on social media regarding the divorce, saying:

“After much thought and prayer, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce. This has not been an easy decision.”

She continued to write, “As a working mom, I am committed to giving my daughter the love, stability, and support she will need while we navigate this next chapter together. I am grateful for the love and encouragement of my family, friends, and fans, and I respectfully ask for privacy as we move forward with grace and compassion.”

The singer shared an identical statement with Music Mayhem, who reports that her divorce filing includes a temporary injunction, summons for personal service, and a parenting seminar order.

PEOPLE found that RaeLynn listed the filing date as the date of separation, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason. PEOPLE reports that she asked to be Daisy’s primary residential parent.

RaeLynn & Joshua Davis’ Relationship Timeline

RaeLynn met Joshua Davis in church in 2012. She recalled their meeting during a 2020 interview with PEOPLE, saying:

“Obviously I wasn’t focusing on Jesus that day — I was praying, like, ‘Who is that hottie over there? Hallelujah!'”

The couple dated for 4 years before Josh proposed at Belmont University in Nashville in October 2015.

He and RaeLynn married in front of more than 300 guests in Franklin, Tennessee, on February 27, 2016. RaeLynn’s former Voice coach, Blake Shelton, and his now-wife, Gwen Stefani, were among those in attendance.

Josh worked as a financial advisor when he met RaeLynn. But in 2017, just one year after they married, he joined the Army.

“He’s always talked about it,” RaeLynn told PEOPLE at the time, “and it’s something he’s always wanted to do, so I kind of had it in the back of my mind.”

RaeLynn also spoke to PEOPLE about the challenges of being a military wife and being away from her husband for long periods. She said:

“…we’re just gonna make it work. I would rather not see Josh but once a year and be married to [him] than be married to anybody else. He is the light of my life in so many ways … I’m just so thankful in every way and so grateful for him.”

Their daughter, Daisy, was born on September 8, 2021. RaeLynn announced Daisy’s birth with a slideshow of photos on Instagram, which opened with a picture of Josh cuddling with her in the hospital.

“These two are my world,” she wrote. “I am beyond thankful for my husband and all the doctors, nurses and our amazing doula @mollyburg17 for helping us bring miss Daisy into the world…babies are truly a gift.”

More recently, fans noticed that RaeLynn hadn’t posted about Josh for several months. Their 10th anniversary came and went in February without RaeLynn sharing an anniversary tribute to Joshua on her Instagram feed.

Now, we know that she filed for divorce just a few months later, on June 8.

We wish RaeLynn and Josh the best, and will be keeping them and their daughter, Daisy, in our thoughts during this surely difficult time.
