Rosanne Cash’s Team Issues Statement After Her “Unexpected Medical Emergency”

Singer Rosanne Cash has been forced to postpone multiple shows. Her team shared an explanation for the postponements in a statement posted to her social media pages on Monday (September 7).
71-year-old Cash, who is the daughter of Johnny Cash and his first wife Vivian, had three shows on the books immediately after Labor Day Weekend. Those shows, listed below, have now been postponed.
- September 8 – Sheridan, Wyoming (at the WYO Performing Arts Center)
- September 9 – Billings, Montana (at the Alberta Bair Theater)
- September 12 – Bozeman, Montana (at Tinworks Art / Rialto Theater)
Cash’s team explained that she recently suffered an “unexpected medical emergency.” They did not share any specifics, but noted that she is recovering. However, her doctors advised her to refrain from traveling or performing for the time being.
Her team said Cash “deeply regrets” needing to postpone three shows. She is looking forward to rescheduling, but the new show dates have not yet been announced.
She received a ton of well-wishes and support from her fans, with people leaving comments such as:

Cash is hoping to resume performing on September 19. She’s scheduled to appear in Jonesboro, Arkansas, at the 4th Annual Sunken Lands Songwriting Circle on that date.

Rosanne Cash Will Travel To Europe For Several Shows This Fall
Rosanne Cash is currently touring with her husband of 31 years, musician, producer, and songwriter John Leventhal. The couple said “I do” on April 30, 1995, and they share five children: Hannah, Caitlin, Chelsea, Carrie, and Jakob.
After her Jonesboro performance on September 19, Cash will jet overseas for a series of European shows in October. She’ll sing in Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium, Norway, and Ireland.
Cash will be back in the U.S. in November. Her last show of the the year is scheduled for November 9 at the famous Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
