“Happy Days” Star Scott Baio Teases Acting Comeback In New Taylor Sheridan Show

Scott Baio is making his acting comeback in Taylor Sheridan’s upcoming project, Frisco King.
You may remember Baio from his role as Chachi Arcola on the hit series Happy Days, but now he’s moving away from his sitcom roots and taking on a role in the new crime drama Frisco King.
Frisco King is set to premiere sometime in 2027 and will be a spin-off of Sheridan’s Tulsa King.
The series will follow a mob hitman who refuses to kill Dwight Manfredi (Tulsa King character played by Sylvester Stallone). Instead, he heads to Frisco, Texas, to begin building his own criminal empire.
The show will star Oscar winner Samuel L. Jackson, and now Baio has been revealed as the latest celebrity to join the cast.
Baio shared the big news on social media with a photo of himself showing off the back of a Tennessee shirt from Buc-ee’s. At first, the picture didn’t seem to reveal much, but the caption gave fans a clue.
Baio wrote that he was “finally back home,” hinting that he had just returned from possibly filming something. The rest of the caption read:
“FriscoKing Coming Soon! #TaylorSheridan #SamuelLJackson #Texas #Blessed”
There’s currently no word on who Baio will be playing or how big of a role he’ll have in the series. Still, fans are excited to see him back in the spotlight.
This will be his first acting role in more than a decade. Baio’s last major project was starring in the sitcom See Dad Run, which ended in 2015 after three seasons.
Taylor Sheridan Shows To Look Out For
There isn’t an exact release date for Frisco King yet, but in the meantime, there are plenty of other Taylor Sheridan shows to watch.
Sheridan’s series The Madison debuted in March of this year and has already been renewed for a second season, expected to arrive later this year or in early 2027. Mayor of Kingstown has just filmed and wrapped its fifth and final season.
Fans can also look forward to Season 2 of Marshals, Season 3 of Landman, Season 4 of Tulsa King, and Season 3 of Lioness, all predicted for the fall.
