Shania Twain Subtly Teases An Upcoming Project
Did Shania Twain tease an upcoming album? Fans definitely think so.
The “You’re Still The One” singer took to social media yesterday, May 6, and shared a mysterious post that has everyone wondering what she’s planning next.
In the clip, Twain is seen wearing a white fringe outfit and cowboy boots while walking through a field carrying an axe.
She approaches a pile of wood and takes a big swing to chop one of the logs before the screen suddenly cuts to black with the words “Don’t touch that dial. I’ll be right back.”
Twain may not have said anything in the video, but fans still think the message was loud and clear. Many are now speculating that the post could be hinting at a brand-new album release.
She’s been giving fans small glimpses into her music-making process for a while now by sharing several studio clips.
Just two weeks ago, she posted a video of herself working alongside Grammy-winning producer and guitarist T Bone Burnett. In the clip, the two were putting together a guitar sequence for an unreleased song.
After a closer look across social media, it seems like she may have pretty much confirmed that something new is on the way.
A deeper dive shows that Twain has a “coming soon” link in her Instagram bio. When fans click it, they’re taken to a page that appears set up for pre-saving music on Spotify or Apple Music.
Right now, though, the links don’t lead to an active release. Instead, they direct users to sign up for email updates or text notifications.
And whatever it is, fans can’t wait for it. The comments section of Twain’s teaser video quickly filled with excitement. A few of the messages included:

Shania Twain To Host The 2026 ACM Awards
On top of being busy in the studio, Shania Twain is also getting ready to take on a major gig.
At the end of last month, it was announced that she would be the host of the 61st ACM Awards. The ceremony will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 17.
This will be Twain’s first time ever hosting the event. Before she stepped into the role, Reba McEntire served as host for the past two years.
