Rock Legend Ozzy Osbourne Dies At 76
It’s been one year since Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary Black Sabbath frontman and one of the most iconic voices in rock history, died at the age of 76. His family announced his passing in a public statement shortly after.
The news of Ozzy’s death came just weeks after his farewell show. During the performance, he reunited with his original Black Sabbath bandmates Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward.
Although Ozzy had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, his primary cause of death was listed as “out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.“
The Osbourne Family Remembers Ozzy
Since his death, the Osbourne family has been doing their best to keep his memory alive and reflecting on special moments spent with Ozzy. On what would have been his 77th birthday, Sharon shared a sweet tribute in honor of the music legend.
Ozzy’s daughter, Kelly, has also been very open as to what life has been like since losing him.
“This past year has broken me in ways I never knew were possible. Everything you warned me would happen, happened. But I want you to know that I listened. I did everything you told me to do, and I will continue to follow your words for the rest of my life,” Kelly wrote on social media on the one year anniversary of his death.
Opening her letter by addressing her father as “Daddy,” she wrote, “One year ago today, the world changed forever.”
“The hardest part is that I can’t touch you. I can’t hold your hand. I can’t wrap my arms around you or feel the safety that only you could give me. I always thought life was hard, but life without you has been the hardest thing I have ever had to endure.”

Universal Studios To Honor Ozzy This Halloween
This year, Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights is set to pay tribute to the late rock legend with an original haunted house.
Named “Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness,” guests will be able to climb aboard the “Crazy Train,” embarking on a terrifying journey through Ozzy’s world of rock ‘n’ roll.
Created as a living horror movie through the twisted lens of Halloween Horror Nights, the immersive tribute honors Ozzy’s legendary career. Spanning through 45 years of music, the experience will allow fans to experience one-of-a-kind attractions at Halloween Horror Nights in both California and Florida, the theme park says.
In Hollywood, the haunted house will take fans back to where Ozzy Osbourne’s story began in Birmingham, England. Along the way, they’ll encounter the Osbourne Asylum, inspired by his iconic Diary of a Madman album, while coming face-to-face with the many versions of Ozzy that defined his legacy.
“Ozzy never stopped pushing boundaries, and he loved anything that gave fans a new way to experience his music and the worlds he created,” Sharon and Jack Osbourne said in a joint statement. “Halloween Horror Nights has done an incredible job bringing that spirit to life. Walking through these haunted houses, you’ll recognize so many moments inspired by his music and imagination. It’s a wonderful tribute to Ozzy, and we hope fans have as much fun experiencing it as he would have had seeing it come together.”
At Universal Orlando, guests will travel through ancient ruins and dark dungeons for a frightening journey inspired by Ozzy’s iconic albums, including Diary of a Madman, Bark at the Moon, The Ultimate Sin, and Black Black Rain.
According to Universal, “this fantastical world draws from the heavier sound and sinister imagery that defined the later years of Ozzy’s career, transforming that creative evolution into a horrific journey through his unmistakably twisted imagination.”
