Who Plays Miles Kittle In “Marshals”? Here’s Why He Looks So Familiar
on Jul 15, 2026

Marshals has become one of Taylor Sheridan’s most successful series launches, and its impressive cast is a big reason why.
The Yellowstone spinoff series premiered on CBS on March 1, and it didn’t take long for it to break records. Its first episode drew 9.52 million viewers, becoming the network’s biggest new series premiere in more than a year.
Because of this, the show has officially been renewed for a second season, with filming already underway.

One reason fans were so eager to tune in to Marshals was because it brought back several beloved characters from the original Yellowstone series. Naturally, viewers wanted to see where their favorite characters’ stories would go next.
For example, the show follows returning character Kayce Dutton (played by Luke Grimes) as he joins an elite team of U.S. Marshals after the tragic death of his wife, Monica. Other returning faces are Tate Dutton, Thomas Rainwater, and Mo.
Along with bringing back characters, Marshals also added some new faces into the mix. This includes Kayce’s entire task force, made up of members: Pete Calvin (Logan Marshall-Green), Andrea Cruz (Ash Santos), Belle Skinner (Arielle Kebbel), and Miles Kittle (Tatanka Means).
But even though some of these characters are new to the Yellowstone universe, the actors playing them may look familiar.

Who Is Tatanka Means?
Tatanka Means plays Miles Kittle in Marshals. He’s one of the reliable members of the U.S. Marshals Service.
You’ve likely seen him in several other popular roles before. His acting career began in 2005 when he portrayed the Lakota leader Crazy Horse in the miniseries Into the West.
Since then, he’s built an impressive acting career with roles in both television and film. Just a few projects that Tatanka has been in are The Burrowers (2008), The Host (2013), A Million Ways To Die In The West (2014), and Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015).
One of his most recognized performances came in 2012 when he portrayed Wolf Ortiz in Tiger Eyes. His performance earned him Best Supporting Actor at the American Indian Film Festival and Best Actor in a Motion Picture at the Red Nation Film Festival.
Another one of Tatanka’s big breaks came in 2023 when he appeared in Martin Scorsese’s Killer of the Flower Moon. The film starred Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, and Lily Gladstone.
You may recognize Tatanka’s family name, too. He is one of 10 children of famous activist Russell Means, who was a leader of the American Indian Movement before later becoming an actor.
