Marshals just offered a first look at its second season in the form of a dramatic teaser trailer that shows Kayce Dutton in a tense situation.

Marshals is a Yellowstone spin-off centered on Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) who ends up joining an elite team of U.S. Marshals following the death of his wife, Monica. As you’d expect, Kayce and his team inevitably find themselves in the midst of many dangerous situations.

After attracting over 20 million viewers to its premiere, CBS renewed the show for a second season on March 12. Season 1 concluded with a cliffhanger finale on May 24, and the show wasted no time before starting work on Season 2.

In early June, Marshals confirmed that production had started on its second season.

Now, just a few weeks later, we have the first teaser trailer for Season 2. The short clip opens with someone saying, “I’ve heard stories about the Duttons” before a brief scene shows Kayce being pinned down on a table.

Then, the camera cuts to Kayce, now seated in a chair, who says, “The fact that you’re doing this tells me you haven’t heard them all.” After that, Kayce gets up and prepares to fight the people in the room.

Other clips show Andrea (Ash Santos), Miles (Tatanka Means), and Thomas Rainwater (Gil Birmingham), the latter of whom can be heard saying, “No one escapes unscathed from death and violence.”

But two key characters are missing from the footage: Cal (Logan Marshall-Green) and Belle (Arielle Kebbel).

This raises some concern about the characters’ fates, since they were left in serious peril at the end of Season 1. However, their actors have already confirmed that they both plan to return for Season 2…although that still doesn’t mean that Cal and Belle will make it through the whole season.

In addition to sharing the new teaser trailer, Marshals also provided a timeframe for when fans can expect the start of Season 2. We now know that Season 2 will premiere on CBS this fall, but the show didn’t pinpoint an exact date.

Season 2 Teaser For Marshals Leaves Fans Asking For The Same Thing

It soon became clear that the majority of Marshals fans all want the same thing out of the show’s second season…a crossover with Dutton Ranch.

Dutton Ranch is another Yellowstone spin-off, and it focuses on Kayce’s sister Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser).

Both shows’ stars have discussed the idea of a potential crossover (as Dutton Ranch has also been renewed for a second season). Luke Grimes, for example, told Entertainment Tonight in April, “I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility.”

Fans would love if that possibility became a reality. Many of the comments on the new teaser trailer for Season 2 of Marshals had people begging for a crossover between the shows.

Some of those comments were:

“…they need him in Texas at the Dutton ranch…”

“So hoping there will be a crossover where Kasey [sic] and team will end up in Texas looking for Tate and meet up with Beth and Ripp [sic]…”

“Please combine this show with Dutton Ranch.”

“Kayce needs Rip and Beth help and now Rip and Beth needs Kayce’s help! That crossover NEEDS TO HAPPEN!”

“Kayce when available your sister needs you in Texas.”

“Oh please have crossover with DR brother and sister need each other in this time of need.”

“When are we gonna get the Marshals, Dutton Ranch crossover??”

“WE NEED KAYCE IN DUTTON RANCH.”

“I need Kayce, Beth, and Rip to come together and show why you don’t mess with this family.”

What about you? Are you hoping to see a crossover between Marshals and Dutton Ranch in their second seasons?
