The Season 22 “American Idol” Finalist Says It Was “One Of The Biggest Nights” Of His Career
Back in 2024, Will Moseley lit up the stage of American Idol, making it to the finale of Season 22.
While he ultimately lost to Abi Carter, his own journey in music has continued.
This past week, on April 25, Moseley fulfilled a significant goal of his, making his debut in the circle of the Grand Ole Opry.
Prior to this performance, Moseley went with his family to tour the Grand Ole Opry in February… or at least Moseley thought it was just a tour.
While there, he was left speechless when he was invited to make his Opry debut.

Speaking on The Raised Rowdy Podcast ahead of his Opry debut, Moseley was asked about what the Opry means to him.
Responding, Moseley said the Opry is a “special place” to him and his family, saying, “So, my grandpa is 92, and when he was a kid, they had like a big radio on the porch, and they were the only house around to have a radio, and so every Saturday night, they would all sit on the front porch and make all the kids be quiet and sit down and they’d turn on the WSM radio live from the Grand Ole Opry.”
Continuing, Moseley said, “That was the stage that you played that kind of gave you validity. In my opinion, I still think there’s some truth to that.”
Moseley noted that his grandfather was going to be at his Opry debut performance.
Looking back on his Grand Ole Opry debut, Moseley shared a montage of his experience on social media on April 29, set to his song “Make Me A Name.”
After his performance, Moseley can be seen walking backstage where he runs into Idol Season 23 finalist John Foster, and the two can be seen shaking hands.
Writing on social media, Moseley said, “Saturday was one of the biggest nights of my career – making my Opry debut! Thank you to all of you who packed it out and made it a really special night – looking forward to doing it again!”
