After multiple canceled shows, Willie Nelson is now cleared to perform again!

The 91-year-old country music legend canceled multiple shows last week due to feeling ill.

Just a few hours before Willie Nelson was supposed to take the stage for the opening night of the Outlaw Music Festival Tour, his team shared the unfortunate news. Posting a statement to social media, they stated:

“We regret to inform you that Willie Nelson is not feeling well. And per doctor’s orders, has been advised to rest for the next four days. He is expected to make a quick recovery and join the Outlaw Music Festival tour next week.”

The Outlaw Music Festival kicked off on Friday, June 21, with a stellar lineup, including Willie Nelson & Family, Bob Dylan, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, John Mellencamp, Brittney Spencer, Celisse, and Southern Avenue on various dates.

Willie sadly missed the first three stops of the tour in Alpharetta, Georgia, Charlotte, North Carolina, and Raleigh, North Carolina. His next show was scheduled for June 26 in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Unfortunately, Willie could not make that show, either. His team released another statement on social media informing fans.

“Willie Nelson will not be performing at tonight’s show in Virginia Beach. We expect Willie to return to the tour shortly.”

Unfortunately, it looks like Willie still won’t be in attendance for this weekend’s dates (June 28 in Syracuse, New York, June 29 in Wantagh, New York, and June 30 in Holmdel, New Jersey).

The update also revealed that the additional performers, including Willie’s son, Lukas, will continue on schedule.

“Bob Dylan, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, Celisse will perform as scheduled for all shows this weekend. In addition, Lukas Nelson and Family along with some special guests will play his own set which will include Willie’s classics and other songs.”
