Luke Grimes’ Kayce Dutton May Be The Subject Of A New Yellowstone Spinoff
Although Yellowstone ended in December, fans may get the chance to see Kayce Dutton again in a new spinoff series.
Luke Grimes played Kayce, John Dutton’s youngest child, across all five seasons of Yellowstone.

Now, Variety reports that Grimes’ Kayce Dutton will be the subject of a new Yellowstone spinoff. Variety states they “confirmed” the spinoff is in “early discussions” with CBS.
Yellowstone aired on Paramount Network, so it’s interesting that the reported Kayce Dutton spinoff will be on CBS. However, both Paramount and CBS are properties under the Paramount Global umbrella, so the two networks are related.
Variety states that the Kayce spinoff will be produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, which also produced Yellowstone.
Exact details concerning the plot or release date of the rumored spinoff are unknown at the time of this writing. Variety also states that “no deals are believed to be in place at this time” regarding casting.
Grimes has not addressed the report about the Kayce Dutton spinoff.
Even More Shows Are Being Added To The Yellowstone Universe
If all of the above-mentioned plans come to fruition, Kayce Dutton won’t be the only Yellowstone character to get a spinoff series. It’s essentially been confirmed that Kelly Reilly’s Beth Dutton and Cole Hauser‘s Rip Wheeler are getting a spinoff of their own.
Also, there’s long been talk about a series following the cast of characters at the 6666 Ranch.
A Yellowstone-adjacent series starring Michelle Pfeiffer, called The Madison, is also in the works.
Additionally, the Yellowstone prequel 1923 is actively releasing new episodes on Paramount + and is in its second season. There has been talk that another prequel, set in the 1940s, will follow after 1923 ends.
