Bailey Zimmerman Apologizes Following Mid-Concert Cancelation

Country artist Bailey Zimmerman was already onstage when he was forced to cancel his show at the Delaware State Fair on Sunday (July 26th).
The “Chevy Silverado” singer only had the chance to perform a few songs before they abruptly lost power.
Unfortunately, with no electricity, they weren’t able to get Zimmerman’s show back up and running. Organizers made the call to cancel the concert, with an announcer coming over the loudspeaker to say:
“We are waiting for crews to come to fix the electric. At this point in time, it is gonig to take some time to get the power up and running. Unfortunately, we will need to cancel the show. Please evacuate the grand stand area at this point in time.”

At 9:15 PM, the Delaware State Fair shared the following statement on social media:
“We are aware of the power outage currently affecting the Delaware State Fair. Our team is actively working to resolve the issue as quickly and safely as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding while we work to restore power. Thank you for bearing with us — we’ll share updates as they become available.”
The post attracted over 500 comments on Facebook, with many people expressing frustration over the canceled show and demanding refunds.
Others shared how Zimmerman had made the best of the situation before everyone was asked to leave the venue.
“During the down time, Bailey gave my daughter a signed Delaware shirt, sang her happy birthday, and signed her hat!” one commenter said.
Another person wrote, “I hope [the] Delaware State Fair…are gonna give refunds!!!! Some very upset people who spent alot of money & have been waiting since December to use their Christmas present concert tickets!”
“I’ve been coming to the fair for their concerts for over ten years. I have never seen anything like this!” someone else said.
Another follower commented, “Delaware State Fair this is ridiculous and so unfair. Bailey Zimmerman is literally singing for people in the pit while the rest of us can’t hear a thing. We deserve refunds regardless of whether the show goes on or not. So unfair!!!”
Bailey Zimmerman Wants To Return To Delaware After Canceled Show
Bailey Zimmerman felt compelled to apologize to his fans in Delaware after his concert was cut short.
“So sorry to all of y’all that showed up tonight in Delaware…” Zimmerman wrote on a post on his Instagram Story. “City lost power and there was nothing we could do.”
Zimmerman wrote his apology alongside a photo of himself staring into the camera and holding his thumb down. He shared his hope that he will be able to return to Delaware to make things right for his fans:
“Gonna see about coming back cause we were just getting started and y’all deserve a show. Love y’all so much hope to see y’all soon.”
Zimmerman previously canceled his concerts scheduled for May 27th and May 30th, stating that he “[had] not been feeling well.”
Later, the Sandia Resort & Casino, where Zimmerman was scheduled to perform on May 27th, alleged that Zimmerman caused over $16,000 in damage to his hotel room and appeared intoxicated during his stay. Criminal charges were filed against Zimmerman, although those charges have since been dropped.
Zimmerman has a pretty packed schedule this summer and fall. His next show is slated for Thursday, August 6th, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He’ll go on to perform at a trio of state fairs in August before jetting over to Europe to sing in the UK, Germany, Sweden, Norway, and the Netherlands.
The singer returns to the U.S. for a performance at the Washington State Fair on September 17th. His tour continues through December 5th, when he’ll sing at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
